Development opportunities for researchers

Innovators is a training course for academics at North East universities to develop the real-world impact of their research.

Applications are invited for two prestigious training courses from Northern Accelerator, the multi-university partnership that has transformed research commercialisation in North East England.

Whether you’re an academic in the early stages of your career and want to develop the skills to make a real-world impact with your research, or you’re ready to embark on commercialisation as a route to making an impact, there’s a course to take you to the next stage of your journey.

Innovators is primarily aimed at early career researchers, and is delivered in partnership with Skillfluence, experts in upskilling researchers to work with others to maximise the social and economic impact of their work. The programme offers innovation, enterprise and impact training to help academics realise real-world impact from their research.

Future Founders is delivered in partnership with innovation and venturing specialists Zuas and focuses on the knowledge, understanding and commercial skills academics need to establish successful spin-out enterprises or licensing opportunities.
