A number of Northern Accelerator projects and spinouts from Newcastle and Durham Universities are featured in the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council’s (BBSRC) collection of stories highlighting the research council’s impacts in 2022.
The showcase features a range of projects that formed part of BBSRC’s £438million investment in world-class bioscience.
The research council’s role is to support and invest in bioscience that delivers world-class impact to society and the economy. Two spinouts from Newcastle University, Professor Che Connon’s and Dr Martina Miotto’s CellRev and 3D Bio-Tissues, are featured, as well as Professor Ritu Kataky’s work on Smart BioFilms from Durham University.
